Children’s Ministry this Month

What are we teaching this month?

This December we will wrap up our time in Revelation, focusing on how Jesus is on the throne in heaven, and that he has promised to return. Our memory verse is Revelation 21:5. Then we will turn our attention to the reason for this Christmas season and spend some time talking about when Jesus came to earth as a baby.

For more information about our lessons, check out the Parent Notes on the website, at the bottom of the "Kids" page. Each week there is some information about our topics and our main points. You can follow the link in the weekly email to find the page too! Our teachers also have handouts each week that have some great suggestions for family conversations based on our lessons. We are blessed to partner with you to teach our kids about Jesus!

Life Disciples Training Class, January 11-12, LVC

In today's culture, many people find themselves facing decisions related to an unplanned pregnancy.  Others continue to struggle because of a decision they made in the past.  Many look to the church for answers, and we don't always know how to respond with truth and compassion.

Amy Jo Pleune from Lakeshore Pregnancy Center will be leading this class to equip us with the information and tools that we need to minister effectively in these situations and to help people to find hope and healing in Jesus.  This class is for anyone desiring to be used by God to help people to choose life, and to help those touched by a past abortion to find forgiveness and healing.  We believe this class will be great training for those already engaged in prayer ministry including those who have taken the “Can I Pray for You Now” class or SoKM, but neither of these classes are a prerequisite.

The class will be Friday 7-9pm and Saturday 8-5.  The cost is $25 for materials and Saturday’s lunch.  For more information or to register,

contact the church office at 394.5500 or Pastor Ann at  Class size is limited to 20 people so don’t wait!

Small Groups are Coming in February…

Which means if you have a small group idea, we want to start talking to you now so that we can get all our small groups into our catalog by mid-January!  We are interested in all kinds of groups.  Bible Studies, prayer groups, activity groups, book studies, classic small groups that include worship, the word and prayer ministry…we are open to creative ideas!  Email Jeri Howe today at

Lakeshore Vineyard is an "all-play" church meaning we desire a community where everyone benefits because everyone contributes. We believe that's how both churches and individuals thrive and grow. With that in mind, we'd like to ask you to look over the following service opportunities and see if there's one you'd like to try out. If so, let us know at and we can set up a time for you to "job shadow" an experienced person in that role to see if would be a good fit.

Office Volunteers Needed

We are looking for people who can regularly devote a few or more hours to help in the church office.  Tasks include filing, sorting, making copies, writing emails and answering phones.  Call 394.5500 or email to talk to Kim Nyland about these positions.
